What to know first

  • The listed formula contains tadalafil and minoxidil; the page does not list finasteride.
  • The cited hair research is not a trial of the complete Grower combination.
  • Oral minoxidil adds cardiovascular and monitoring considerations.

These product reviews examine public formulation information, research, and service terms. We have not ordered the treatments, tested their effects, or audited patient care. How we research.

The two ingredients in Grower

Rugiet describes Grower as a daily pill containing tadalafil and minoxidil. The first ingredient targets erectile function; the second is used off-label in oral form for hair loss. This is a compounded combination and is not FDA-approved.

The page does not list finasteride in this formula. That distinguishes it from some Hims Sex Rx + Hair Health versions. Check the exact prescription rather than assuming all ED-and-hair combinations contain the same drugs.

Ask for the strengths, administration instructions, storage, and pharmacy contact. If you already use a hair-loss treatment or an ED medicine, provide the complete name and route. A topical product and an oral product may have different considerations, and duplication should be reviewed.

How to evaluate hair and ED results separately

A combined pill can simplify a routine, but it still has two outcomes to assess. Erection response and hair growth occur on different timelines and need different measures. Agree on when to review each and what would count as a useful change.

For hair, consistent photographs can support a clinical discussion. For ED, record whether the prescription meets your goal and whether side effects affect continued use. Improvement in one area is not proof that both ingredients are needed.

Ask what happens if minoxidil needs changing while tadalafil is working well, or vice versa. Separate prescriptions may offer more adjustment flexibility; the clinician can explain the tradeoff. A plan change can also affect medication already dispensed and future charges.

What the 30-man hair study actually tested

One study referenced by Rugiet is an open-label, single-arm study of oral minoxidil in 30 men over 24 weeks. Hair counts increased, and the abstract reported improvements on photographic assessment. It also reported frequent unwanted body-hair growth and pedal edema in some participants.

There was no randomized comparison group, and the intervention was oral minoxidil, not a tadalafil/minoxidil Grower pill. We reviewed the indexed abstract. The study does not establish that a particular percentage of all Grower customers will experience hair regrowth, nor does it measure Grower’s ED effects.

The product page’s headline hair-growth percentage should therefore be treated as a provider claim requiring its own support, not as a guaranteed personal outcome. Ask which study matches the exact strength, combination, and population being proposed to you.

Why the oral minoxidil component matters

MedlinePlus warns that oral minoxidil can worsen chest pain or cause other heart problems and describes monitoring of blood pressure and, when appropriate, heart function. Its conventional approved use is for hypertension; hair-loss prescribing is a separate off-label context.

Combining it with tadalafil requires a clinician to consider blood pressure, cardiovascular history, other medicines, and tolerability. A lower hair-loss dose should not be assumed to remove all systemic concerns. Report swelling, rapid heartbeat, chest pain, or other concerning symptoms promptly.

Do not use the absence of finasteride as proof of no possible adverse effects. Different ingredients mean different risks to evaluate. The medication information supplied by the pharmacy should address the actual combined prescription.

The Grower quote needs its own numbers

A complete public Grower price tied to strength, quantity, and billing interval was not verified. Rugiet’s Ready starting price and membership marketing should not be used as substitutes. Ask for the medication total, consultation or service fees, shipping, taxes, and renewal.

If a longer supply lowers the unit price, consider how a change in either treatment goal would be handled. Confirm whether a reformulated prescription is charged separately and how to stop the existing refill. Price should be compared with the actual clinically appropriate alternatives, not just another product labeled “2-in-1.”

Interactions and side effects to review

The drug information describes precautions that matter more than packaging or subscription price. PDE5 inhibitors must not be combined with nitrate medicines or recreational nitrites. Tell the prescriber about riociguat, blood-pressure medicines, alpha-blockers, other ED treatments, and kidney, liver, heart, or eye conditions. A complete medication review is necessary; this list cannot clear a treatment for you.

Headache, flushing, indigestion, congestion, and dizziness can occur with ED medicines; individual effects vary. Seek emergency care for an erection lasting more than four hours or severe symptoms such as chest pain. Sudden vision or hearing loss requires prompt medical help. Tell the treating clinician exactly what you took and when.

Rugiet membership, cancellation, and refunds

Rugiet describes 30- and 90-day memberships with shipping and annual consultation-fee benefits. That does not establish the complete invoice for this product. Confirm quantity, prescription, any non-member fees, and renewal total before comparing plans.

The terms require 72-hour cancellation notice before billing. Support pages also discuss changes at least 24 hours before processing. The deadlines use different events; do not assume the shorter window overrides the subscription terms. Ask which applies and keep confirmation.

The cancellation guide says medication orders cannot be canceled after processing. The refund guidance excludes ordinary dissatisfaction based on lack of efficacy, side effects, or flavor. Incorrect or damaged orders are handled separately. Contact the clinician about treatment response and support about shipments; a medical adjustment does not automatically cancel the next order. We have not tested these processes as patients.

Other named products to review

Hims Sex Rx + Hair Health includes versions with and without finasteride and additional supplement ingredients. Hims Tadalafil and Ro Daily Tadalafil are conventional ED tablet options without a hair-loss drug.

The right comparison is whether you need both treatments, how each is monitored, and how easily either can be adjusted. A combined convenience product is not automatically a better fit for everyone with two concerns.

Frequently asked questions

Does Grower contain finasteride?

The reviewed product page lists tadalafil and minoxidil, not finasteride. Confirm the label on the prescription actually supplied.

Is oral minoxidil the same as applying a topical hair product?

No. Route changes the exposure and safety questions. Ask the clinician about the oral formulation and monitoring.

Does the cited study prove Grower’s headline success rate?

No. The 30-man study examined oral minoxidil alone, with no randomized control group, and did not test the finished Grower combination.

Can I stop only one ingredient?

A fixed combination requires a discussion about changing the prescription. Do not alter the pill or add separate medicines to adjust it yourself.
