Hims 3-in-1 Hard Mints review

This review focuses on Hims’ 3-in-1 Hard Mints: the sildenafil, tadalafil, and B12 chew. Daily mints, other chews, and the 3-in-1 Pill have separate reviews.

What to know first

  • The specific 3-in-1 formulation contains two PDE5 inhibitors and vitamin B12.
  • The main catalog lists a $30/month starting offer; other mint pages use different pricing units.
  • The chew and the 3-in-1 Pill are separately named products.

These product reviews examine public formulation information, research, and service terms. We have not ordered the treatments, tested their effects, or audited patient care. How we research.

Which Hard Mints product is this?

The current Hims ED catalog lists a mint-flavored 3-in-1 Hard Mints product. The formulation library identifies sildenafil, tadalafil, and vitamin B12 in its sildenafil/tadalafil version. The “three” does not mean three separate ED medicines: B12 is a vitamin, and the two prescription ED ingredients are PDE5 inhibitors.

This specificity matters because Hims also publishes information for tadalafil-only, vardenafil-only, and tadalafil/vardenafil mints. A general Hard Mints review can easily mix those formulas. This page covers the sildenafil/tadalafil/B12 chew; the label on your actual prescription must confirm the ingredients and strengths.

The compounded chew is not FDA-approved. A mint flavor and portable tin can be convenient, but neither establishes better efficacy or fewer adverse effects than a conventional tablet. Ask about inactive ingredients if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.

Why the $30 monthly and $6 per-use offers differ

The main ED catalog advertises this named 3-in-1 chew from $30 a month. A separate chewable-medicine page advertises selected sildenafil/tadalafil Hard Mints from $6 per use and daily mints from $39 a month. Those pages describe different offers and units; they are not interchangeable invoices.

We did not verify a complete matched checkout configuration connecting every starting figure to a quantity, strength, and billing commitment. $30 divided by $6 should therefore not be presented as proof of a five-chew plan. Ask for the number of prescribed uses, total payment due now, shipment interval, and renewal price.

A starting monthly equivalent can require a larger upfront payment. If a clinician adjusts the prescription early, ask whether unused medication is refundable and whether a replacement order costs extra. The cancellation rules below are relevant to that calculation.

Chewable mint versus the 3-in-1 Pill

Hims’ 3-in-1 Pill lists the same three ingredient names, but is marketed as a pill rather than this chew. That shared list does not establish the same strengths, excipients, absorption, or administration instructions. Ask which format the prescription actually specifies.

Do not substitute a swallowing, chewing, or under-the-tongue instruction from another product. The dispensing pharmacist should explain the directions and storage requirements for the exact formulation. If difficulty swallowing is the reason for considering a chew, describe that during the clinical assessment.

A change in format may require a new prescription or pharmacy order. Confirm both the treatment and the next shipment rather than assuming changing a plan preference automatically replaces medication already processing.

What the ingredient evidence does—and does not—answer

Hims clearly labels Hard Mints as compounded products that are not FDA-approved. Research on ordinary sildenafil or tadalafil tablets is not, by itself, proof for every compounded mint or combination. FDA’s compounding guidance explains why approval of an ingredient-containing medicine and approval of a finished compounded product are different.

If the proposed mint contains both sildenafil and tadalafil, ask why two PDE5 inhibitors are being used. Standard tadalafil labeling advises against combining tadalafil with other PDE5 inhibitors. Do not add a second ED medicine or change the dose yourself because a first attempt did not work.

Discuss nitrates, recreational nitrites, blood-pressure medicines, and your complete medical history. The medication safety guide can help organize that conversation.

How much do the studies and survey claims tell us?

The Hard Mints catalog reports treatment satisfaction based on a survey of 869 Hims ED users. The page also notes that customers may have been compensated for their opinions. A satisfaction survey can describe respondents’ experience, but it is not a blinded comparison, does not establish outcomes for every customer, and may encompass treatments beyond the exact mint you are offered. Read the provider’s survey context.

The catalog also references research comparing daily and as-needed tadalafil. That is a question about particular treatment schedules. It does not automatically establish that a daily compounded mint is safer than every other formulation or that a multi-ingredient mint has the same outcomes.

The small tadalafil-plus-sildenafil study discussed in our Ro review examined a specific daily-plus-as-needed regimen. It was not a trial of every personalized Hims formulation. In reviewing an efficacy claim, ask whether the study used the same ingredients, doses, route, schedule, and patient population. If several of those differ, the claim requires more explanation.

We have not verified a randomized clinical trial of each marketed Hard Mints formula. We also have not audited the compounding pharmacy, medication content, or clinical decision-making. Those limits are why this review focuses on product identification, dated offers, and questions that can be checked with the provider.

What vitamin B12 does not establish

The presence of B12 is part of the formulation, not proof that it boosts the erectile response beyond sildenafil and tadalafil. A nutrient’s normal role in the body and evidence for treating a deficiency do not demonstrate the superiority of a finished compounded ED chew.

Ask whether the added vitamin serves an identified need and whether a simpler prescription is suitable. If an advertisement refers to clinical studies, ask whether those studies tested the whole chew at the proposed strengths or only conventional versions of its ingredients.

Hims billing, cancellation, and follow-up

Hims identifies the next order date as the charge and processing date. Check the date shown in your account rather than counting a month from delivery; the first refill may be scheduled early to avoid a gap.

The cancellation instructions ask for action at least 48 hours before the next order. Ending a subscription does not cancel an order already processing or shipped. If you have several subscriptions, each must be managed separately. The refund policy does not guarantee a refund once the pharmacy has processed the order.

Rescheduling or snoozing changes the next order, not necessarily the subscription’s long-term status. Ask the clinician about medication changes and support about billing changes. When a treatment changes, confirm which formula will be in the next shipment and whether a replacement supply creates another charge. We have not placed test orders or measured customer-service response times.

What a useful follow-up conversation looks like

A refill reminder should not be the only check on whether treatment is working. Before the next order, note whether the medicine met your goal, whether you used it according to your prescription, and whether side effects changed your willingness to continue. Share that information through the clinical channel.

Keep medical questions separate from account questions. The prescriber decides whether to change the drug or dose; support can explain the order and billing state. If treatment is not helping, ask whether use instructions, another medicine, an underlying condition, or the diagnosis itself needs review. Our follow-up guide provides prompts without recommending a dose.

A service with messaging may suit someone comfortable with online care, but messaging access does not mean continuous emergency coverage. Urgent symptoms require prompt medical care. For persistent symptoms or a complex history, ask whether an examination or coordination with your regular clinician is needed.

Ro Sparks and BlueChew MAX also combine sildenafil and tadalafil in sublingual formats. BlueChew GOLD adds apomorphine and oxytocin. These are different formulations, not larger or smaller versions of one common product.

Frequently asked questions

Is every Hard Mint a three-ingredient chew?

No. Hims’ safety library includes several mint formulations. This page reviews the sildenafil, tadalafil, and B12 version specifically.

Is B12 a third ED drug?

No. It is a vitamin. Its inclusion does not establish greater erectile efficacy of the finished product.

Does the $30 headline guarantee a $30 monthly charge?

No. It is a catalog starting figure. The actual quantity, formula, billing interval, and total need confirmation.

Is the 3-in-1 Pill the same review?

No. It has its own page because the dosage form is different even though the listed ingredient names overlap.
